Getting your business operation back into production after a disaster depends on how well your department has planned ahead. Many departments/organizations invest significant amounts of money to make their organizational ventures successful and yet although they realize the importance of emergency planning, more times than not put it on the back burner, until it’s too late.
How sound is your DR and BCP? Is every key player in your department aware of their responsibilities with regard to the processes and procedures of getting your office back on its feet during and after a disaster?
To further assist departments and units on campus, the Information Security and Policy Office, can provide guidance developing and managing a DR & BC Plan. A complete DR & BC Plan should contain critical information required to help department facing a disaster, get operational within a timely manner.
